AI Shopping Visibility Tools: Ten Compared on Product Tracking

Last updated:

AI shopping visibility tools split into two groups: a small set that tracks individual products or SKUs inside AI answers, and a larger set of brand-level visibility tools that added a shopping feature or a retail integration. Three vendors claim to be the only product-level tool, which tells you the category is young. Geolix.ai is not a shopping tool; our monitoring covers nine engines including the Chinese assistants and treats product prompts as buyer-intent prompts, which suits B2B brands whose "shopping" question is a vendor shortlist. This piece compares ten tools from four public reviews on what they track at product level, their engines and prices, and says where the reviews disagree.

Who wrote the reviews

Geolix.ai read four reviews that AI engines cite for this question, and every one is written by a vendor ranking itself first. Alhena's twelve-tool review puts Alhena first. Semrush's eight-tool review puts Semrush first. Nexscope's ten-tool review puts Nexscope first. SixthShop's review puts SixthShop first. Alhena and SixthShop both describe themselves as the only product-level tool, which cannot both be true. Read the table with that in mind.

Ten tools compared

Geolix.ai kept tools that at least one review describes with a product-level or shopping feature, plus the general tools that appear on three or more reviews. Prices are as stated on the linked reviews and differ between them.

Tool Product-level feature (as stated) Engines Starting price Reviews
Alhena AI Visibility Individual SKUs, product-card rendering, ChatGPT Shopping answers, revenue attribution ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Gemini Free tier; custom Alhena
SixthShop SKU-level recommendations, "AI Shopping Visibility score" Not stated Not stated SixthShop
Nexscope Product mentions, recommendation position, competing products; accepts an ASIN ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek Free Nexscope
Semrush Enterprise AIO Tracking by product; ChatGPT Shopping and Google AI Mode shopping visibility ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, AI Mode, AI Overviews, plus Claude, DeepSeek, Grok $99 a month (Semrush); $199 add-on (Alhena) All four
Profound Shopping Analysis: product images, placement, retailer benchmarking; ChatGPT Shopping on Enterprise Up to ten; Starter is ChatGPT only $99 a month All four
Authoritas Retail module: upload product names, categories, catalog feeds Seven incl. Claude, DeepSeek $95 a month Alhena
AthenaHQ Shopify and Webflow integration, GA4 attribution ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, Gemini, Claude on free tier Free; $295 a month Semrush, Nexscope
Ahrefs Brand Radar None; Alhena states it does not track ChatGPT Shopping or product cards AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, Grok $199 a month plus base Alhena, Nexscope
Peec AI None; weekly buying-prompt monitoring ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, AI Overviews and add-ons $89 or $95 a month Alhena, Semrush, Nexscope
Otterly.ai None; brand-level ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity, Copilot; others as add-ons $29 a month Alhena, Semrush, SixthShop

Two facts from the reviews stand out. None of the four pages names Amazon Rufus, so a brand selling on Amazon has no documented tool on this list for that surface. And Google's shopping surface appears only as Google AI Mode in Semrush's Enterprise tier.

How to read the product-level claims

Geolix.ai suggests one test before believing any "SKU-level" claim: ask the vendor to show a stored answer in which your product appears as a card, with the price and rating the assistant displayed, and the date. Alhena describes "rendering analysis" of product cards, Nexscope accepts an ASIN, Authoritas takes a catalog feed upload. Those are three different mechanisms, and only a demo on your own products shows which one produces what your buyers see.

The second test is the surface. A product answer can come from a retailer feed, a web search or a model API, and Geolix.ai's platform comparison explains why the same prompt returns different products through each. The reviews above do not record which surface each tool queries; ask.

Where B2B brands stand

Geolix.ai works mainly with B2B fintech and SaaS, where "which product" means "which vendor", and for that job the product-level tools above add little. What matters is whether the tool takes your own comparison prompts, stores the answer with citations, and covers the engines your buyers use. Brands selling into Greater China need DeepSeek, Doubao, Qwen and Tencent Yuanbao in the same view; of the ten tools above three name DeepSeek (Nexscope, Authoritas and Semrush's Enterprise tier) and none names Doubao, Qwen or Tencent Yuanbao.

Method and disclosure

Geolix.ai wrote this comparison and is not a candidate for the consumer shopping use case it describes; we included ourselves in the text, not the table, for the B2B and Chinese-engine case. Every row is from the four vendor reviews linked above, unverified through paid accounts, and the reviews contradict each other on prices. Details were checked on September 13, 2026.

Summary

Geolix.ai's reading is that three tools document product-level tracking (Alhena, SixthShop, Nexscope), two enterprise tools sell a shopping module on top of brand tracking (Semrush Enterprise AIO, Profound), two offer catalog or store integrations (Authoritas, AthenaHQ), and the rest are brand-level tools. None documents Amazon Rufus. Test any SKU claim with a dated demo on your own products; if your buyers are in China or your product is a B2B vendor, choose on engines and prompt control instead.
